Cinnamon Apple Raisin Instant Oatmeal

Serves: 3 (makes 3 packets)
1 Cup. baby rolled oats
2 Tb. currants or chopped raisins
¼ Cup. dried apple
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. honey
1 Tb. oat bran or wheat bran (optional)
Directions:
1. Chop the dried fruit into very small pieces.
2. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
3. Divide into three freezer bags or containers, using a scant ½ cup per bag. Keep in your pantry or desk or car.
4. To serve, pour the baggie into a bowl or large mug and cover with 2/3 cup of just boiled water. Stir and let sit, covered, for 1 minute before enjoying.
Notes:
• This recipe multiples easily by 4 to make 12 packets.
• If you eat this at home, skip bagging individual servings and put the mixture in a large Tupperware or mason jar. Scoop out a generous 1/3 C. or a scant ½ C. into your bowl follow the serving directions.
• Travel: Take these with you to the office and on trips.
• Reuse your plastic baggies for making more instant oatmeal! The Ziplock snack bags perfectly fit a serving. You can also use recyclable wax bags folded over and fastened with a paperclip.
