Leaving from Par Beach and heading along the coastline we will paddle our way on a 8 km route to Fowey where we will have lunch, this will take approximately 2-3 hours.
This Journey is Coastal and takes in a beautiful stretch of cliff line where there are a couple of stopping pints to take in the scenery.
After Lunch we will leave from Fowey and take a leisurely paddle up river to St Winnow. This stretch is 6 km and will take between 1.5 -2.5 hours. There are a number of stops on route, one being in the village of Golant.
Along this route many different forms of Wildlife, from Seals and Sea birds to Deer and Kingfishers, often accompany us. There are Heron roosts and an abundance of Water life such as Fish and Clams.
We will camp for the night at St Winnows Church Campsite. Where camp will be pre-setup and ready for arrival. Arrangements will be made to take all participants personal equipment to camp to negate having to carry anything on route.
The evening will consist of some basic Camp craft and an evening meal followed by a Campfire evening.
The following Day we will get up and head back along the same route using the Ebbing tide to pull us down the river with ease. We will stop at Fowey for Lunch where we will finish our Journey.
This Journey is aimed at people who can paddle board and want to take part in a paddle journey. The journey is 14-15 km on day 1 and 6-7 km on day 2. We will be using the tide on both legs of the journey to make it easier going but all participants must be confident in their ability to paddle this distance.
