Do not overcomplicate this. Your focus for the FLA should be around sustainable exercise to PRESERVE muscle whilst you’re in an energy deficit to LOSE FAT.

So my advise is to do what you said you were doing when you put your activity level in the Total Daily Calorie calculator on the dashboard.

On thing to be mindful of whilst we have put you in an energy deficit for this programme, is that you shouldn’t expect to perform at your best or break any personal bests.

At the end of the day none of us are professional athletes and unless you have some specific sport or athletic performance goals, you should look for the period whilst in the academy to retain muscle rather than trying to gain it.

Losing fat and putting on lean muscle at the same time is REALY hard – so in this academy we are just focusing on FAT LOSS and RETAINING MUSCLE.
